CROCLIST: Gators being taken off protected list?

Not sure how I feel about the FWC taking gators off the list.

I am directly affected by this ruling if it passes.  joined this listserve a
year or so ago looking for knowledgeable info on these guys instead of
heresay or folklore. Stayed on for all the insight. Thank You!

Although, I still have that gator in the back yard in the canal, I rarely
see him, and he keeps to himself... and now a littler one in my neighbors
pond showed up a few weeks ago. All my animals are still here. But it has
been a bit frightening at times. But he hasn't breached my fenceline (that I
upgraded when I first saw him).

I look for him daily, find him intrigueing, adds a bit of rurality to living
out near the everglades. But I have neighbors that can't wait till this
passes. It is the only thing they are afraid since the laws are pretty stiff
and they think people would turn them in if they did shoot it.

Curious if you've heard this ruling FFWC has going, and what you think about
it?
