Greetings and best wishes.
I am attaching two papers that may be of interest to you based on my research in the Republic of Palau on the saltwater crocodile. Our initial question to answer was if more than one species was represented in Palau, or if the Palauan C. porosus population had been hybridized by the possible introduction of a second species prior to WW II.
I am a herpetologist and my special interest is crocodilians, hides and products made from them in commercial trade, from a forensic perspective as I have been a consultant to the US Fish and Wildlife Service for more than 30 years. At the moment I am working on the morphology of South American caiman.
I would like to hear from you further and continue communication.
Regards
Peter

Subject: CROCLIST: Relationship between Salty and Siamese crocodile
Dear all,
I am analysing the genetic relationship between Indopacific crocodilians.
In this regard I would like to know the Zoological relationship (morphology, geographical distribution, etc) beftween C. porosus and C. siamensis within Indopacific clade.
Can any one tell me the similarities and relationship between these two species?
Thanks in advance
