CROCLIST: Nitrates and phosphate

Hi guys,

We have an enclosure with 1 male and 31 female mugger, all of range in age
of 20 - 40 years. The pond is a natural aquifer, dug into the ground. They
have been breeding for several years, but the number of clutches are going
down as is the fertility within these clutches (fertility determied by
candling). During a water sampling session, we noticed significately high
phosphate and nitrate values, especially following heavy rains. Is there any
link between these two minerals and infertility that anyone knows off (crocs
aside, even).

Help much appreciated,

Cheers

Nik
